Two Outdoor Ceremony Location Tips

Planning to have an outdoor wedding ceremony? Don’t just look for a pretty location but consider the time of day and the position of the sun. The best time of day is at least 2 hours after midday to avoid harsh light. Also having the sunlight either directly at your back or front will create more evenly lit images. Getting these wrong can result in unflattering images.

I spent two days with them and their crew traipsing from one iconic spot to the next.

Julies choice of dress change (a one off @colleenatwoodofficial original for a demure ceremony look and sequin fitted gown for the after party) elevated each part of the day.

I was not the popular girl in school. Never the overachiever. Certainly not an academic. I gravitated toward art and sport. I never wanted to stand out in the crowd. I felt comfortable behind the camera.

I love weddings and photography. I love the artistic and physical aspect of documenting a wedding day. Getting recognition was not the goal, but it’s beyond words to have it. I just want to keep producing work my clients love.
