Destination Wedding at Lough Rynn Castle

From Chicago to the West of Ireland, Elyse and Tomas celebrated their wedding in style at Lough Rynn Castle. Originally from Ireland, Tomas moved stateside as a young child and met Elyse in highschool. Highschool sweethearts, an age old love story. As you may suspect I have a particular soft spot for my couples connected to Chicago and I’ve been lucky to have quite a few. While Chicago is ‘my kind of town’ and boasts some incredible venues and views how could it possibly compete with the Irish countryside? No wondering here why they chose a destination wedding.

I spent two days with them and their crew traipsing from one iconic spot to the next.

Julies choice of dress change (a one off @colleenatwoodofficial original for a demure ceremony look and sequin fitted gown for the after party) elevated each part of the day.

I was not the popular girl in school. Never the overachiever. Certainly not an academic. I gravitated toward art and sport. I never wanted to stand out in the crowd. I felt comfortable behind the camera.

I love weddings and photography. I love the artistic and physical aspect of documenting a wedding day. Getting recognition was not the goal, but it’s beyond words to have it. I just want to keep producing work my clients love.

Thank you @wezoree for including me on this list. There is easily a mountain of other names on this talented island that deserve this honour.
