Quick Wedding Tip: Start Your Day With Extra Time

I talk a lot about being mindful of time on your wedding day and always allowing for delays. The best place to add in extra time is at the very start of the day during your wedding preparations. Time and again I see brides rushing out the door to get to the church. Don’t plan to have your hair and makeup preparation finish just before you want to leave. Build in an extra 30 minutes from the start.

Julies choice of dress change (a one off @colleenatwoodofficial original for a demure ceremony look and sequin fitted gown for the after party) elevated each part of the day.

I was not the popular girl in school. Never the overachiever. Certainly not an academic. I gravitated toward art and sport. I never wanted to stand out in the crowd. I felt comfortable behind the camera.

I love weddings and photography. I love the artistic and physical aspect of documenting a wedding day. Getting recognition was not the goal, but it’s beyond words to have it. I just want to keep producing work my clients love.
