The location they chose for their special day was truly iconic - The Merrion Hotel, situated near the Department of the Taoiseach. This luxurious hotel was the perfect backdrop for their intimate city wedding. As I arrived at The Merrion Hotel, I couldn't help but feel excited. The grandeur and elegance of the building are truly breathtaking. It was clear that Victoria and Cormac had chosen a venue that would make their wedding day even more special. What makes this venue even more remarkable was its proximity to some of Dublin's most iconic landmarks. The hotel's location allowed us to explore the charming backdrop of Merrion Square, capturing stunning photos against iconic buildings. From the famous Georgian architecture to the vibrant atmosphere, the city added a unique charm to their wedding photos. Situated across the road, we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take photos at the Department of the Taoiseach. The gates were opened just for us, allowing us to capture truly unforgettable moments. It was a remarkable experience, adding an extra touch of exclusivity and romance to their wedding day. Throughout the day, I was struck by how seamlessly the luxury of the hotel, the beauty of Dublin City, and the love between Victoria and Cormac intertwined. I chose to share most of this day in black and white photos as a study in going back to basics and removing all colour to tell this story in a timeless less distracting way. My edits are typically mostly done in full colour but there was something I just loved about the black and whites and the quiet stillness of the images I chose to edit in black and white.
