Ok I think I either got a bit lazy today or I’ve just been very busy that I didn’t get a chance to write my second blog post for this week. So I’m posting a preview of Claire and Eddie’s amazing wedding! You may recognise them from their engagement session I shot not long ago. They were an absolute delight to work with again and may I add they both looked stunning! I am itching to post more!

Maria and Sam had a very beautiful summery wedding. They really wanted their wedding to be relaxed and about their guests as much as it was about them. I have to say that these two looked super chic. Maria had a real vintage look with her dress, shoes, and very soft hair and makeup. Her bouquet was the perfect compliment. Sam looked equally as fantastic, I love grooms in a stylish suit. I think the groom should look just as stunning as the bride!
Maria and Sam had a civil ceremony in the conservatory of the main house overlooking the Wicklow mountains. Their dinner took place in the marquee on the grounds of Ballybeg. They served a Moroccan style BBQ. It was some of the best food ever served at a wedding! Ballybeg do a great job with their wedding menus. Delish!
With half the guests being non Irish Maria decided to start the dancing with some Irish Ceili dancing. It sure got everyone on the dance floor! After working up an appetite guests could enjoy some tasty sausage and chips from the chip van outside. Such a great idea. Tasty and organic! Great ending to a great day.
Venue: Ballybeg House, Co.Wicklow

This month there was a special photowalk organised with bloom in Phoenix Park. They offered Photowalk.ie a limited amount of media passes. I jumped on board early and secured a pass. The pass allowed us to get in early and take photos anywhere at anytime during the event. Having gone to Bloom last year I knew it was a good opportunity. They have some really lovely gardens and some gorgeous artisan food (I made sure to do some taste testing before leaving!). After editing my images I am quite pleased with what I took. In some of the photos I can imagine the gardens full of people at a wedding. It would be an ideal setting for a bride and groom to have an outdoor ceremony. It would make for some gorgeous wedding portraits. All the photos in this post were taken with my 135mm lens. It’s become my lens of choice. The quality is just stunning and I love the bokeh you get from the long focal length. It’s a winner on the dance floor too!

Ciara and Darren couldn’t have chosen a better day for their wedding or a better location. The sun didn’t stop shining and we were on the beach. We had the sun on our faces, the ocean breeze and I think we all managed to get a bit of a tan. The lovely yellow colour that Ciara chose for the bridesmaids was the perfect choice for a sunny day on the beach. By the end of the day we all had sand in our shoes but it didn’t matter because it was such a perfect day; truly fantastic. Big Thanks to Ciara and Darren for having me be a part of their special day!
Ceremony: St.Peter & Paul’s, Balbriggan, Co.Dublin
Reception: Waterside House Hotel, Donabate, Co.Dublin

(Did I mention how much I wanted to take her dog home with me? She was so cute!)
