Marquee Wedding at Martinstown House

A wedding at Martinstown House is a wedding with character. As soon as you pull up the drive and see the ornate yellow house in the vast open green you know you’re in for something special. I had a walk through the house and grounds with Alison and Kevin before their wedding day and couldn’t wait to get back.

Not being the typical traditional couple they opted for a day that was more them. After a quick ceremony in Kilcullen Church they welcomed guests to Martinstown House with drinks and a bonfire in the front lawns. The day was vibrant and full of life. We left couple portraits until just before the dinner bell to make use of the sun that shone down on the perfectly landscaped gardens. After a buffet style dinner, at sun set, guests were ushered through the woodlands to the hidden refurbished abandoned glass house for a surprise hand fasting ceremony and late night drinks. Vows were said, speeches were emotional, and then it was back in the marquee for dancing. The overall vibe of the day was chill which was down to one very cool couple at the helm of it all.

If you’re getting married at Martinstown House please get in touch. I’d love to shoot there more (and it’s only 10 minutes down the road!).
