Garden Wedding at Longueville House

I had seen so many beautiful wedding photos taken at Longueville House that when Lauren told me it was to be the location for their wedding I was over the moon. Then she told me the ceremony was in the garden and that put the icing on the cake. Getting to shoot a ceremony and reception all in one place allows me to fully immerse myself in that space.

Lauren and Naoise, like many of my couples, have an international love story. Lauren is from the US and happens to be good friends with my past bride Emily. Naoise is Irish born and bred and happens to be the brother of my past groom Lonan whom is married to Emily. Two American girls, friends, married brothers and I got to photograph both weddings. Getting to photograph the weddings of siblings or groups of friends is rather special as you get to know the family or set of friends and suddenly everyone seems a little more at ease around you.

Getting to be part of both weddings was special enough but having it in such a beautiful setting was extra special.

Scenes from iconic London with Julie and David.

I spent two days with them and their crew traipsing from one iconic spot to the next.

Julies choice of dress change (a one off @colleenatwoodofficial original for a demure ceremony look and sequin fitted gown for the after party) elevated each part of the day.

I was not the popular girl in school. Never the overachiever. Certainly not an academic. I gravitated toward art and sport. I never wanted to stand out in the crowd. I felt comfortable behind the camera.

I love weddings and photography. I love the artistic and physical aspect of documenting a wedding day. Getting recognition was not the goal, but it’s beyond words to have it. I just want to keep producing work my clients love.

Thank you @wezoree for including me on this list. There is easily a mountain of other names on this talented island that deserve this honour.

J&H did things their own way and incorporated private vows in the small chapel ahead of their outdoor ceremony at The Cliff at Lyons estate. It was intimate with only myself and the celebrant in attendance. A real honour to be included in private moments like this.
