Dublin City Wedding at The Shelbourne Hotel

Last October Indie and Alix were married in The Shelbourne Hotel. Opting for a Dublin city wedding there’s no place more iconic than The Shelbourne set opposite St. Stephen’s Green in the heart of the city. Their wedding day was a relaxed affair with an intimate ceremony and dinner in the banqueting suite and canapes and drinks between in the Constitution Room where the Irish Constitution was drafted in 1922. The Shelbourne truly is a landmark of Dublin city.

Indie and Alix met for a first look and a few portraits before their ceremony so they could enjoy more of their time with guests before dinner. First looks are a great idea if you’re having a late ceremony in Autumn or Winter to guarantee some daylight time for portraits. With a few portraits in the Constitution Room and in the park across the road there’s no shortage of photo opportunities at the hotel.

City weddings are a gem to photograph. They are always so classically chic with good architecture all around. There’s never a shortage of good portrait backdrops. Here’s a peek into their wedding.

  • "Thank you so much for getting these through to us so quickly! The photos are beautiful and we can’t stop looking at them. You really captured the essence of our special day. We’ve got everything we would have hoped for and more."
