Black Tie Wedding at Dromoland Castle

October 13, 2015

Melissah and Ja wore the biggest smiles ever on their wedding day. And with an intimate wedding with their closest family and friends who travelled all the way from Hawaii to celebrate with them they had so much to smile about.

Smitten with Ireland on a previous trip they decided it was the perfect place for them to marry. They opted for a traditional black tie castle wedding at Dromoland with a little bit of home thrown in the mix. Most of the beautiful details were sourced locally with sophisticated florals from The French Touch, wedding cake from The Wedding Cake Boutique, hair by Val O’Dea, and planning by Kate Deegan, but the traditional Hawaiian lays worn by the bridal party were flown in especially for the day.

Melissah and Ja honeymooned in Vienna so they could see the painting ‘The Kiss’ by Gustav Klimpt which holds much meaning for them both. It started out as Valentine’s Day cards which they bought each other, not knowing the other bought the same card, and was coincidentally part of their engagement. They are a pair of true romantics.
