Yvonne & John’s Destination Wedding at Domaine Gayda, France

. category: Weddings
  • Yvonne and John’s wedding was a pleasure to photograph. They whisked off to the sunny South of France for a vineyard wedding at one of my favourite venues Domaine Gayda just outside Carcassonne. When they were on the hunt for the perfect French location they stumbled upon a wedding I had previously done at Gayda and as they say the rest was history. I was over the moon when they told me my photos had been a huge part of their decision.

Yvonne and John married on the grounds of the vineyard in a beautiful ceremony at the pool house followed by good food, good wine, and good laughs in the restaurant until the wee hours. A lot of the decor was brought over by the couple being sourced from Etsy, Ikea, Zazzle, and A.Rubanesque. The flowers were supplied from Mirepoix Fleurs and the perfect invites were sourced from In The Treehouse. Yvonne was looking chic in her Pronovias gown from Kathy De Stafford and John very dapper in his Hugo Boss suit.

I’m blogging Yvonne and John’s story backwards as I’ll be sharing their engagement session later but how could I resist sharing such a fabulous wedding? So much love and happiness in one day makes this wedding a joy to share.

  • Thank you so much for the fantastic photos. We love them. I can’t stop looking at them. You captured every moment of the entire day and all the emotions too. We can’t believe how much you got. We had such an amazing day and loved every minute of it and it really shows in the photos. It was great we didn’t miss a single minute of the day. We really didn’t want to spend the day posing for photos and missing all the fun! Yet you still managed to get all the shots we wanted.

It’s hard to single out any of them in particular. I love each one of them.

Thanks also for helping us find our dream location. We loved the venue and if it wasn’t for your photos of Ciara and Rian’s wedding, we would not have found it. Thanks so much for that. The day was like a dream for us. At the end of it I turned to John and said did that really happen, or did we just imagine it, we just couldn’t believe how well it all went.

Thanks so much again Christina, you really are so very talented. We can’t thank you enough.
