Well ladies and gents it’s a new year and I have lots of pretty new things to share. First to grace the blog in 2014 is a personal favourite from last summer and I hope you’ll all agree that this wedding is pretty sweet.
Sorcha (sister to the lovely lady behind The Bridal Lounge) and Gareth, two amazingly talented and beautiful people, were married in the stunning Kilruddery House & Gardens where a wine and cheese reception followed an emotional ceremony in the orangery. Sorcha and Gareth met first near one of the garden’s secret ponds for a first look and photos before the ceremony. Afterwards they drove away in style in a little red convertible to their reception at The Fern House Cafe at Avoca (my favourite Irish shop!). The night ended in as much style as it started. Both being talented actors and dancers, they took to the floor with a knockout first dance.
So much credit goes to Sorcha and Gareth for a gorgeously planned day. Already a stunning couple the Pronovias wedding gown and Gatzby by Ted Baker suit matched their elegance. The wooden ring boxes and guest seating chart were all hand crafted by Gareth. The stunning flower arrangements were all supplied from Absolutely Fabulous Flowers, the cheese wedding cake from Sheridan’s Cheesemongers, hair by Michelle Grimes at The Bridal Lounge, makeup by Ailbhe Lynch, the very suiting string trio Sound of Serendipity, talented cinematography by Best Day Productions, and of course The Bridal Lounge for helping to pull it all together made for one perfect day.
