Quick Tip Thursday: The ‘Shot List’

. category: Wedding Tips
  • There are wedding blogs and magazines out there that will advise couples to give their photographer a list of photos, or ‘shot list’, to be required on the wedding day. While I can understand why this is being recommended to couples here’s my argument against giving your photographer a shot list.

If your photographer is a professional wedding photographer they will already know the important parts of the wedding day. Having to look at a list of photos all day will only distract them from doing their job. You will want your photographer to be immersed in the day and not in a piece of paper. If you’re set on giving your photographer a ‘shot list’ I would advise to keep it minimal (i.e. people needed for group photos or anything out of the norm of a wedding day that might be special to you).
