Well folks it’s the end of another year. Can’t hardly believe it. Instead of my usual Thursday quick tip I want to wrap up the year by saying Happy Holiday and a big thank you for stopping by every week. The dedication of all you lovely blog readers is what keeps me motivated. This will be my last post of the year but don’t fret, I’ll be back again in January to pick up right where I left off. As much as I love what I do it’s essential to recharge the batteries. Pun inteneded 🙂
Every new year brings exciting changes, challenges, and new goals. I’ve decided 2013 is the year to start a personal project. Over the past few months I’ve been searching for inspiration on what appeals to me outside of weddings. Little did I know what inspired me was right under my nose all year. Thank you Pinterest! Now I just need to do the hard part and get started and the quite winter months is the perfect time.
At the start of the past couple years I’ve made a list of business goals I hope to achieve before the end of the year. I’ll be honest, I don’t get a chance to achieve everything on my list. It’s hard to find the time. But what I don’t achieve gets rolled over into the next year with hope of finally achieving those goals. In 2013 one of my goals is to get out of the office and socialise more often. It’s a crucial part of life but during wedding season can be impossible. Most photographers like me who work from home spend most of their time talking to their cat. Facebook and Twitter only offer so much social interaction but even then it’s not actual human contact. So this is my pledge that I WILL make the time to not be a hermit living under my computer. It’s all about better time management which is also on my list of goals. So, what are yours? Please share. I’d love to hear!
As for 2012 I can happily say it was a fulfilling year. I successfully launched the new website, met more lovely wedding people, and even managed to co-host a small wedding event. As much as I hope to continue to grow the White Event at this time it’s being put on the back burner. It’s a project to be continuously thinking about hosting again but needs a little more time than I have free at the moment. But then again you never know!
I’m wrapping up this year with snippets of a few lovely weddings I haven’t yet had the chance to share. A few things you can expect to see in 2013. Happy Holidays wherever you are in the world!
