Christine and Paul were married in the stunning Marlfield House. Weddings with the ceremony and reception in one location are always so relaxed and that is exactly what Christine and Paul wanted for their wedding day. The day felt like a dressy garden party and less like a formal wedding. With the beauty of the house and gardens at Marlfield there is little need to add tons of detail but they chose to add a few pretty touches to the tables which brightened up the reception just enough. The simple yet elegant wedding cake from Bake My Cake sat beautifully in front of the ornate wallpaper of the reception conservatory. And their sense of style didn’t end with the reception. Christine wore a gorgeous champagne tea length dress by Justin Alexander. Tea length dresses work so well for pretty garden weddings! The bridesmaids wore black with pearls inspired by Christine’s love of ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’.
Though there was so much prettiness in the details the real beauty of the day was the love and laughter between Christine and Paul. Have you ever seen such a happy bride? These two laughed all day and keep me reminded what a wedding is really about.
“Thank you so much!!!!! They’re absolutely amazing. It’s such a wonderful treat to see these now – the memories had started to fade a little now that we’re back to the usual toils of work & routine etc, so it was such a wonderful surprise to come home on this dark & rainy evening to such a lovely email. We have gone through them all now but we can’t wait to pour over the details over coming days. The pictures are really very special to us now more than ever – thank you so, so much. “
