Corina & Diarmaids Winter Wonderland Wedding

. category: Weddings
  • I had been excited to photograph Corina and Diarmaids wedding since my first meeting with Corina. She had told me of her plans to include little details at the wedding that had a hint of ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Photographing a wedding in December doesn’t come without it’s challenges. There’s the early sunset, freezing temperatures, possible snowfall, or very chilly wind. Somehow on New Year’s Eve Corina and Diarmaid got superbly lucky. The rain held off, we got perfect light for their portraits, and the air was just warm enough to get outside.

When I arrived to Corina in the morning I knew I was in for a treat. There were pretty little details waiting for me to photograph and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I couldn’t get over her fabulous Vera Wang dress and Jimmy Choo heels.

Waiting for me at the reception in Finnstown House were vintage cake stands filled with colourful macaroons, tea sets with ‘drink me’ tags, cookie filled jars with ‘eat me’ tags, chalkboard table numbers, and even the white rabbit made an appearance to help guests find their seats. All the beautiful vintage touches were supplied by Pearl & Godiva. The rest were supplied and created by the couple and their fabulous friends and family.

Corina, you’re a stunner. Diarmaid, you’re easygoing. The pair of you made the whole day. That is all.
