I recently photographed this beautiful summery Irish wedding at The Rectory in Cork. It really is a gorgeous spot overlooking the harbour of Glandore. The wedding ceremony took place at St. Fachtna's Church, a quaint but beautifully decorated church in Glandore. The bride and groom added lots of gorgeous elements to their wedding day. The bride's beautiful wedding dress was custom made by Jaqueline Couto Couture in Switzerland and the groom wore a black tux with white bow tie. I loved the mismatched bridesmaids dresses. Their dresses worked so well with each of their personalities. I especially loved the vintage yellow VW Beetle. Not being able to find the perfect wedding car through wedding vendors they found what they wanted from a used car ad and kindly asked the owner to use it for their wedding. Brilliant! The fantastic coordinating wedding stationary, table numbers, and wedding menues were all designed by Imagist in London.
Out of courteousy to the bride and groom I will not be revealing any names but for story telling purposes I will call them Emily and David. Emily and David have a truly special love story. But I may also be more biased as their story is remarkably similar to my own love story. These two met in Paris in February of 2004 while Emily was studying abroad. She finally moved to be with him. They were married the day before my own anniversary. Somehow I feel I was destined to be their wedding photographer! ;)
Congratulations to a gorgeous couple that reminds me you can find love anywhere!
