You may remember Ciara and Rian’s wedding in Cork not long ago from a recent wedding post. They had an intimate wedding with just their parents in Gougane Barra.  It was simply stunning. I had the pleasure of joining them again for a second wedding celebration with more friends and family in France! The plan was to take photos in the walled city of Carcassonne before heading out to Domaine Gayda in Brugairolles about a half hour away for the ceremony and reception. Ciara got ready in Hotel Du Chataeu just at the foot of the walled city. We headed into town for hair and makeup and back to the hotel to change into her second gorgeous custom made Ernest Perryman dress, complimented with a pair of fabulous Christian Louboutins. We took photos inside the walled city and inside Carcassonne Castle, where we were even privileged to spots tourists couldn’t access.

After photos in Carcassonne we headed to Domaine Gayda where the rest of the days celebrations were taking place. Ciara and Rian had been slaving away the day before decorating and baking cakes. Rian drove over with a car full of wedding supplies the week before the wedding. A true DIY couple, love it! The ribbons were from Arubanesque, the bunting from Starlit Nest on Etsy, invitations from Swoon Creative on Etsy, lanterns from Ikea, and the candle votives were bought from Avoca. The bouquets were sourced from local markets. Ciara planned to make her own bouquets but a kind lady at the market was nice enough to create them for her.

Ciara and Rian’s wedding ceremony took place outdoors at the pool house in Domaine Gayda. After the ceremony we had some time for photos in the vineyard before heading to the main restaurant for the most delicious canapes and wedding meal. The cheese course was a real treat! And just to spoil me even more we got to sneak off to the wine cellars just after dinner for a few more photos. Needless to say, the whole day was magic! Congratulations again Ciara and Rian! Hope you’re enjoying your much deserved honeymoon around France!

For brides getting married in Carcassonne, Ciara’s hair was done at Laurent Creation on Rue de Verdun and makeup was done at La Poudrier d’Elise on Boulevarde Barbes.

I’m delighted to have Ciara and Rian’s France wedding featured in Brides Abroad!
