Carrie & Damien’s Country Wedding in Clonabreany House, Co. Meath

. category: Weddings
  • Carrie and Damien's wedding was pure bliss. Having just photographed at Clonabreany House I was super excited to go back with a fresh eye. I always try and approach weddings in the same venue a little different to keep things exciting.

Carrie and Damien have a unique story of their love. Carrie, originally from New York, met Damien while studying in Ireland. They had a long distance relationship for many years until Carrie made the move over to be with Damien. After 8 years they were married in Kilskyre Church in the presence of their friends and family. Deirdre of Ruby & Bloom and The Bridal Lounge did a superb job with the flowers for Carrie and all six bridesmaids. Not to mention the boutinneirs for the boys and cutest button and ribbon boutinneirs for the ring bearers. The feel was very country garden which perfectly matched the moss covered wine crates for the escort cards.

Carrie chose all the dresses including hers from J Crew Bridal in New York. I loved the pockets on the dress! It suited Carrie's laid back personality. Damien was looking just as fantastic in his suit of course.

After the ceremony we went back to Clonabreany House for portraits. Unfortunately the rain came out just as it was time for photos of Carrie and Damien, so we quickly went inside and took photos upstairs. I think the unfortunate rain turned out to be not so unfortunate. I found the perfect spot and really love the feel of the photos.

There were so many lovely personal details in the day. Carrie's KG shoes were just to die for with the little bee pendant. Congratulations Carrie and Damien!Special thanks also goes to Anne Marie Doherty for makeup and Lorraine Brown for hair styling.
