Kathryn + Brian’s Country Wedding in Galway + Westmeath

. category: Weddings
  • I have to admire winter brides for being so brave! Kathryn is no exception. A wedding in November no doubt means it will be cold. And even with the lovely warm glow from the yellow and red leaves on the trees it's definitely not warm in the air but Kathryn braved the cold and allowed me some super stunning portraits. Brian too of course, but as he was wearing several layers of wedding attire I don't feel as sorry for him! Though, Kathryn was smart in choosing her wedding dress. It was more appropriate for colder weather and looked simply stunning. The bodice had a very Audrey Hepburn style that I adored on Kathryn.

Kathryn and Brian chose to have their ceremony in St. John the Baptist in Eyrecourt, Co. Galway with their reception to follow in the ever lovely Middleton Park House in Westmeath. I've photographed in Middleton before and loved shooting there. They have two rooms for dinner, one upstairs and one downstairs. Kathryn and Brian chose downstairs for their reception which is perfect for the colder months as it has a lovely warm and cosy atmosphere with the candlelight.

Big thanks to Kathryn and Brian for allowing me to photograph their special day! Thanks again Brian for the very kind (yet slightly cheeky) mention of me in your wedding speech! Enjoy your honeymoon in Argentina!Your Wedding Photographer,
