We take a break from our usual blog posts to support the victims of Haiti. Just to recap, a little over 2 weeks ago a massive 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck just 10 miles outside Port-au-Prince leaving more than 150,000 people dead and thousands more unaccounted for.

Brosnan Photographic has decided to donate to the Digicel Haiti Relief Fund (as we know someone who works with Digicel) and Oxfam Ireland. But there are many different ways to donate. A few websites you might try are Hope for Haiti Now, The Red Cross or Oxfam. Be sure to listen to the local news and television stations for other ways to donate and please give what you can. Every cent will count!

How to donate to Digicel:

Simply top up the Digicel number +1 876 295 0000 via Digicel Online Top Up with the amount you wish to donate. These donations can also be sent to the Haitian number: +509 3700 0000. Maximum of €10 top-ups. If you would like to donate more through Digicel you can also do a Bank transfer. Details are: Account Name: Digicel Limited (Haiti Relief Fund), Account No.: 42190818, Sort Code: 90-14-90, Address: Bank of Ireland, Baggot Street Branch, Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2. 100% of donations go to Haiti relief.

Remember no donation is too little. So please donate now. Fellow photogs might be interested to know that Brosnan Photographic will also be participating in the Mentor Marathon 4 Haiti. Donate a minimum of $100 to your favourite charity and photographers receive unlimited access to a day-long online mentor session by the industry’s top photographers. Mentors will be conducting portfolio reviews, image critiques, answering questions, etc. Of course, the amount of 1-on-1 interaction depends on the number of photographers participating.
