This is the first in a series of tips and resources we’ve put together on having a green (eco-friendly) wedding. We hope that if you are considering a green wedding you will find it useful. And if you haven’t considered it - maybe our tips will give you something to think about.
Antique Wedding and Engagement Rings
An engagement ring is the first sign of your upcoming wedding. If your husband-to-be has spontaneously proposed before buying a ring or if you have been talking about marriage and started pointing out styles you like why not consider secondhand rings? Not only will it be eco but it will also be completely unique from anything your friends have. You can take the idea one step further and get antique wedding rings too.
Don’t think of antique rings as secondhand, think of them as vintage! You could even use vintage as the theme of your wedding. Just because you go green doesn't mean you have to compromise on style!
Rings are expensive but going green can save you money – if you’re lucky enough to be able to use a family heirloom as your ring. An heirloom ring is the perfect “something old” and can add such sentimental value to your wedding day.
More to come…
We hope you’ll find our tips useful and would love to hear any comments or suggestions you might have. Even if you only make one eco choice for your wedding day it's a step towards helping the environment.
